Noticed it's been a while since I updated the site, figured I would add something. I have traded off my 90 for a TRex 500 in preperation for a 700. I like the 500, flies alot better than the 450. I think I will sell it.
Jerry and I went to May Day, it was my first time to go down there. I had a blast and the fun fly was great. Of course I have to mention I ran off and left my transmitter case and starter setting on a table and had the guys from LARKS mail it to me (Thanks!). But all in all it was a great time. I enjoyed seeing the new heli from Curtis Youngblood, the Rave. The tandem flight with Curtis and Jamie was awsome.
I got a demo flight coming up soon at the local air show here in town, looking forward to that. People are always amazed at the things you can do with an RC helicopter.

Just thought I would update the site about our vegas trip. Just got home tuesday and had a blast again this year. Me, my wife Callie, Jerry, Brian, Bob, and his wife all went and we stayed at the Excalibur again this year. Went Friday thru Monday and spent a total of about 2 hours at the funfly. But hey, it's vegas right??!! Anyway I will post more and pictures when I get time.

Well not much going on other than burning fuel and wishing spring would hurry up and get here. I have finally got a new video up of me flying here. Bob, Jerry, and I are talking about going to the Vegas fun fly this year. Sure had a blast last year, even though we only spent about an hour over the weekend at the actual fun fly. You can see the pictures from that trip here. Another gallary of interest would be the IRCHA 07 event pictures which are here.
I also have had a chance to fly my 600N with the setup below, it does very well. I am trying to find a oscilation in it. The tail is vibrating up and down and the tail fin shakes and I can also see the canopy shaking. I have tried blades and main shaft but it's still there. Not sure what to do next.

I went up to OKC saturday to hang with the guys at Oklahoma Hobbies & RC. We went to the field and they played with monster trucks and I flew the 600. Man was it cold. I flew a tank and a half and the engine wasn't running good, too rich, I would guess it was because the temp and rather than try and tweak it I decided it was to cold to be out anyway I would just wait for warmer weather.
I finished the SA and put 3110 all around, just what I had lying around at the time. It has a 401 as well. Sure doesn't fly like my old one. I am going to try a servo upgrade in the near future.
I have also upgraded the 600N with a Solid-G and a 9254 for the throttle servo. I haven't been able to fly this setup because the temp here has been in the 20's and 30's, just too cold to be outside.

Well I just purchased a TRex 600N. I have had the 600E and have flown other 600Ns but I was a little reluctant to get a 600N because I had the 600E and while it flew
well I just don't like the battery only lasting 6 minutes plus I had my trusty Raptor 50 which I have had for almost 3 years now and man that bird has seen me through
alot. Back to the purchase, I figured it was time to try one for myself so I broke down and got one. I can definatly say I should have done this sooner. I decided to
go with 8717 for the cyclic and a 401 with 9254 on the tail and was going to put an ATG and 810G on the throttle but got it hooked up and the 810g servo was acting
wierd so I used a 8311 I had laying around.
I am using a Frameco 2400 two cell lipo and spektrum 7 receiver. I have run the lipo strait to the receiver and then to the 8717's, I did some modifications to a
Duralite regulator to run from the receiver to the 401 and ATG. In the half gallon of fuel I have put in it in the last couple of days it has just been an
awsome machine. I would definatly recomend them.
Current Fleet:
- Trex 450SA
- Trex 600N
- Trex 500
Setups:
- Trex 450SA - This is just a stock Trex. I had an XL I purchased a few years back and had upgraded to an SE with a Madussa / JR DS285 / 401 w/9650 / and a Casttle 35AMP speed controller. I traded it off for a spare Raptor 50 a few months back. I have not finished building this SA yet but plan to in the next week or two for something I can fly in-doors
- Trex 600N - As stated above, I just purchased this and have only 6 flights or so on it. I went with OS Hyper 50 / 8717 / 401 w/9254 / ATG w/8311 / MP5 / Radix 600SB / and Super Stubz. So far I am really loving this machine.
- Raptor 50 - This one is also mentioned above, I am selling this to pay for my 600N purchase. - SOLD!
- Raptor 90SE - This is just a power house. I love flying this machine when it stays together. Setup is YS-91SR / JR Z9000 / Solid-G w/8900G / ATG w/810G / MP5 / Radix 710SB / and Super Stubz. (Man that is alot of G's) - SOLD!
I saved all the stuff off my 90 to go in the 700 when they come out and I get one. I will definatly post info on that as it happens.
I am currently using a 9303 converted with a Spektrum module to 2.4ghz, I can say that I noticed a big difference in responsiveness from my machines switching to 2.4

Disclamer: I am not the best vidographer! :)
You would think that with me being a programmer I could make a better home page. I do it all day and don't really want to spend the time on it at home. So, sorry for the plain home page.
This site is under contruction, so pardon the mess.
